Abstract
Introduction: High quality of work life is known as basic of empowering human. Nurses ‘productivity plays an important role in hospitals’ success. Knowing the correlation between quality of work life and productivity, managers can improve staffs’ productivity by promoting nurses’ quality of work life. This study aimed at assessing relationships between quality of work life and productivity of nurses. Methods: This cross- Sectional correlation study was conducted with a Census sample of 100 nurses drawn from one of the hospitals in Ahvaz. Data were gathered through self-administered questionnaires. Both questionnaires were developed by the researchers. The questionnaires reliability work quality of life (45 questions) and productivity (25 questions) from the calculation of internal consistency with Cronbach's alpha were measured in order 0.96 and 0.90. All statistics were computed using the SPSS software (version 16). Results: Mean and standard deviation of nurses’ work quality of life 3.12±0.60 was in moderate level. Mean and standard deviation of productivity 4.02±0.39 was relatively in good level. The Pearson demonstrated direct and significant correlation between work quality of life and productivity level of nurses r=0.23 (PConclusion: Mid- level of work life and relatively good quality of productivity in nurses shows to achieve the desired state; more effort is needed to improve the quality of working life and productivity of nurses �� oa�� ��� size:11.0pt;line-height:89%;font-family: "B Mitra";mso-ascii-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-hansi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language:AR-SA'>=r (001/0>P).
